Mapei UTT wins NCE Tunnelling Award for Bank Station

Mapei has been announced as the deserving winner of the Innovation in Tunnel Lining Award at the NCE Tunnelling Festival Awards 2019.

In an impressive ceremony held at the Leonardo Royal Hotel London Tower Bridge on December 5, UTT Manager for Mapei UK, Steve Price was joined by a team from the project’s main contractor Dragados SA UK to collect the award.

"We are delighted at Mapei UTT to be recognised as the winner in the Innovation class for Tunnel Linings. There are many people who have worked towards the development and application in this class and it’s the ultimate reward to win the category,” Steve said. “Dust free sprayed waterproofing is one step closer to totally safe tunnel construction.”
