Brightwater Tunnel in Seattle

The wastewater treatment tunnel indlude 9.7 km bored with a EPB- TBM from LOVAT with 5.3 external diameter. The tunnel drives are part of the 13 mille Brightwater conveyance system to carry treated wastewater from the treatment plant to a new outfall in Puget Sound. MAPEBLOX/T has been used in extreme conditions with pressure at face up to 8 bar.
