The Tunnel of 2.65 km long was excavated with a TBM, manufactured by LOVAT, of a 6.15 m diameter. The entire tunnel alignment was constructed beneath the ground water table.The alignment from northwest to southeast supported a maximum ground water pressure above invert up to 3.7 bar.
