Location icon Farringdon Station, Londra, Regno Unito, United Kingdom
Farringdon station is a key stop in the heart of London City, situated 25m below ground bringing together Thameslink, Crossrail and London Underground. The station consists of two main platform tunnels: the Platform Tunnel East (PTE) of 365 m and Platform Tunnel West (PTW) of 305 m. The two tunnels have an internal diameter of 9.5 m and they are connected by 10 Cross Passages (CP) characterized by different lengths (from 15 to 37 m).
4 shafts allow access from the ground level to the bottom of the tunnels.
In addition, two inclined escalators were constructed from the West and East Ticket Hall to access the cross passages.
