Location icon Frauental an der Laßnitz, Austria, Austria
the Koralm railway line forms part of a key project along the Baltic-Adriatic Corridor. The objective of the corridor is to connect the individual regions and emerging economies between the Baltic and Adriatic regions together.
The tunnel “Koralmtunnel” is the centrepiece of the railway track between the two big Austrian cities Graz and Klagenfurt.
The planned length of the tunnel amounts 32,9 km and is separated into 3 parts – KAT 1, 2 and 3. For the realisation of part KAT 1, more than 2.500 tons of Mapei products were used as accelerator for shotcrete. In the year 2023, the whole railway project should go on line.
