LT31 Lainzer Tunnel

Through the Lainzer Tunnel – the connection between the main railroad-lines in Vienna, the „Westbahn, Südbahn and Donaulände-bahn-line“ - freight trains and passenger trains will pass through Vienna quickly in an environmentally friendly way or will be led to the train-stations in the city.
The length of the tunnel is 12,3 km (total length of tracks 25,3 km), construction of tunnel: approx. 35 % in open cut tunneling construction, approx. 65 % in conventional construction lenght = 12,3 km; 5% tunnel in open construction method 65% with a diameter of approx. 12,9 m.
Mapei UTT supplied almost 5000tons of MAPEQUICK 101 FFG a flash-setting accelerator for shotcrete.
