Two TBM - EPB manufactured by Herrenknecht are currently excavating the Metro Line 5 that constitutes phase IV of the Bucharest metro modernization project.
The Section 2 of the line n.5 will be 8.7 km-long.
Two parallel tunnels each of 5.7 m-diameter and 4.85 km-long are under construction.
