The northern tunnel of Tehran underground railway is currently being excavated with 8 km long and runs through two city districts in Tehran, significantly decreasing the city traffic in that part of the Iranian capital. Two TBM-EPB manufactured by Lovat are utilized for the tunnel excavation.
