Toventunnelen is the longest tunnel realized in north of Norway. Length: 10 660 m profile: T 8,5 profile The tunnel replaces a narrow, steep, twisting road along the fjord and shortens the Road 78 highway by eight kilometres (5.0 mi). The travel time is shortened by 10–20 minutes. The cost of the tunnel, including new roads at both ends, was about NOK 1,460 million ($263M), of which 405 million is financed with a road toll.
