The Boßlertunnel is part of the Albaufstieg on the new railway line Stuttgart – Ulm and the Magistrale for Europe (Paris – Budapest) in the framework of the Trans-European Network. The Boßlertunnel consists of two single-track tubes with a length of 8806 m. It is thus the longest railway tunnel on this route. The excavation was carried out between April 2015 and June 2018 with EPB Herrenknecht with diameter 11,40 m
