Tunnel Tullnerfeld

Location icon Tullnerfeld, Gemeinde Langenrohr, Austria, Austria
A new railway track was built to reduce the running time between the cities Vienna and St. Pölten.
3 unit sections: Tunnel: Saladorf L = 663 m; Hankenfeld L = 729 m; Atzenbrugg L =2.490 m
were constructed in an open cut tunneling construction.
The concrete was made according to the guideline for waterproofing concrete structures - 'Weiße Wanne', that means without an additional sealing. The concrete was cooled to the temperature of 22 °C during hardening.
